Outgoing President's report.

Wagga City Aero Club

Letter from Outgoing President

Dear Members,

As you know the Wagga City Aero Club Annual General Meeting 2015 was held at the clubhouse last Sunday morning.
As many of you would know I believe that change in any organisation is very important to having a successful and vibrant club.

I mentioned this at last year’s AGM and have continually encouraged members to step up and take a more active role in the running of your club. For this reason, I decided not to stand for the Committee this year. I hope this will bring enthused vigour into your club.
I am pleased to announce that your club has a new Committee that consists of:
President:                    Alan Eldridge
Vice President:            Ed Clayton
Secretary:                    Andrew Irvine
Treasurer:                    Colin Duff
Capt of Flying:             Geoff Breust
Committee:                  James Geale
                                      Ray White
                                      Peter Crozier
I am sure you will agree with me, that this is a very capable and enthusiastic team and is sure to lead the club well, over the coming year and into the future.
I have had the pleasure of leading your club over the last 6 years and believe that we have achieved great things in that time.

We have come from having a small run down clubhouse in the back blocks of the airport to the new modern, airside facility, we have now. We are running monthly BBQ’s and host many other functions each year.

Financially the club is in a very good place, with no debt and over $30,000 in the bank.
I am very proud of these achievements.

Over this period, I have had the unwavering support of past Secretary Gerard Gaskin and Capt of Flying Geoff Breust, without whose help, this could not have been achieved
Gerard has been a pillar to the club as Secretary for over many more than 8 years and is to be congratulated for this professionalism and commitment to your club. He certainly deserves a rest from his duties.
I will continue to be a very active member of WCAC and certainly will not rule out a return to the Committee in future years as my heart and soul is in this great club.
I would also like to thank all the Committee members who have served over my period as President and especially you, the members for giving me the opportunity to serve the Wagga City Aero Club.
I congratulate Alan and his incoming Committee and wish them all the best in the future
Many Thanks
John Smith
